New Noticeboard for Parish Council
At the beginning of August, Harry Wells completed this super new Parish Council noticeboard to replace the previous one, which had seen better days!
The new one is built from French oak, and is conveniently sited beside Winteringham’s butcher’s shop.
Harry would like to thank Ken Jacobs who helped him fix the noticeboard in position.

August 2010 Press Report
Councillor Bateman welcomed seven other Parish Councillors at the August Meeting of Winteringham Parish Council. Mrs Helen Holgate and Mr Martin Ely - PlayBuilder Project Manager were also present. There were no representatives of North Lincolnshire Council present.
The minutes of the July 2010 had been circulated with the agendas for this meeting and it was agreed that these were a true record and the matters arising were dealt with. This included the vacancy for a Parish Councillor. Mrs Holgate had expressed a wish to become a Parish Councillor. After an informal discussion Mrs Holgate was invited to join the council. Also discussed under matters arising was the visit on 3rd October by representatives from the Environment Agency. The complaint about cars parking on the footpath on Silver Street had been dealt with by a police officer and permission had been given for the bench on the eastern side of the Haven to be replaced. This new bench will be in memory of Louis Wainwright.
Financial Matters: The Clerk presented the report on finances and spending and the Councillors agreed on the payments to be made.
Several of the larger holes in road surfaces have been repaired and it was agreed that a list of holes still in surfaces will be prepared and sent to Highways Maintenance Dept. It will also be reported that the side of the road leading up from Mere Garage to the Cliff Road junction is breaking away and that the trees at this junction need their lower growth trimming away.
There were no new planning applications to discuss.
Mr Martin Ely, PlayBuilder Project Manager was present at the meeting. He was able to explain all the latest developments with regard to the funding. Martin said that until themeeting at the end of August no one knows what money (if any) will be made available. He said that the five Parish Council schemes will be given priority and Winteringham’s is one of these.
The reports from representatives re various committees and organizations were given and the Clerk reported on the correspondence received.
